About our guest

Ravi Corea is the founder and president of the Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society (SLWCS). Ravi founded SLWCS in 1995 to protect ecosystems and promote economic development. SLWCS’s most notable achievement was the development of a strategic approach to mitigate human-elephant conflicts by allowing elephants room to range freely without causing damage to crops, property, and human lives. One of Ravi’s main goals is to uplift rural people in Sri Lanka economically while also enabling long-term, sustainable conservation of the endangered Asian elephant population.
