He has worked with international organizations and governmental agencies. A former professor and twice chairman of the Ornithological Association of Bogota, Diego emphasizes biodiversity conservation for sustainable development. He is linked to the Nature for Development Programme at UNDP through the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership and is a regular collaborator for its programs Learning for Nature and the Equator Initiative.
