This session will mark the official launch of this virtual consultation. After a brief presentation of the progress made since the first consultation, participating experts will receive an introduction to the basics of Systematic Conservation Planning (SCP), the science used to create the map of Essential Life Support Areas (ELSA) map in Liberia, in order to understand how this science applies to the project. The lead scientists behind the project will then give a detailed presentation on the targets for the project in Liberia and the development of the ELSA map. The session will be highly participatory.
