CONSERVING LAND, WATER AND OCEANS

INTRODUCTION TO ECOLOGICAL CONNECTIVITY

Level: Débutant | Estimated completion time: 2 heures | Certificate upon completion

Skills: Understanding ecological connectivity, distinguishing structural and functional connectivity, linking connectivity to climate resilience, supporting inclusive corridor governance

New to ecological connectivity or looking to build a strong foundation? This introductory journey unpacks how nature stays connected—and why that matters. You’ll discover how wildlife moves, how ecosystems interact across landscapes and seascapes, and how people play a vital role in maintaining these connections. Learn the difference between structural and functional connectivity, explore real-world case studies, and understand how policy, planning, and inclusive governance can help keep nature connected.
