Les aires protégées transfrontières

Large, intact ecosystems are widely recognized as the most important building blocks needed to develop regional networks of interconnected protected areas. These networks are considered to be critical to maintaining large-scale ecological processes such as migration, securing vital ecosystem services such as drinking water, and enabling human and natural communities to adapt to impacts from climate change. Yet because they cross international boundaries, these areas are often subject to different and incompatible management and land-use practices. This webinar explores the challenges and opportunities of transboundary protected areas.
