Gobierno ambiental del sector minero
Esta serie de seminarios web explora las herramientas y estrategias para comprender y actuar sobre los efectos de la minería en los derechos humanos, incluido el derecho a un medio ambiente seguro y saludable de diferentes grupos de la sociedad, a lo largo del tiempo y en diferentes localidades. Presentamos el marco de servicios de los ecosistemas y explicamos cómo se puede utilizar para mejorar la toma de decisiones públicas y fortalecer los procedimientos de Evaluación de Impacto Ambiental. Los seminarios web también se centran en las funciones y tareas de concesión de licencias ambientales de las instituciones gubernamentales a nivel nacional y regional. Utilizando Colombia como caso de estudio, analizamos el papel de la administración pública en la promoción de la buena gobernanza y la prevención del daño ambiental por parte del sector minero.

One of the highlights of this course — at least for me — was Part 2: Module 2, especially the Conflict Pathway Analytical Framework. On the one hand, I felt like conflict was a little insensitively sanitized and downplayed in the session; however, on the other hand, I can see how thinking about conflict as an abstract thing through a critical/conflict determinant hierarchy lens can be a very helpful way to break a problem down.
I can’t remember enrolling for this course, but it says that I am enrolled, can you help in removing myself as I can not reach the course coordinator until he/she is in my contacts?
