Course Type: Webinar SeriesThe goal of this webinar is to give a better understanding of the root causes, systems and pathways of extractive conflicts, the role and responsibility of government, and how governments can mitigate, prevent and transform conflict associated with mining, oil and gas. Participants share findings from a new study on this topic, and examine two cases in Latin America where governments took specific approaches to build stronger institutional capacities to prevent conflict and address systemic causes.
The lesson learnt in this module was very useful as it educates us youths about the mitigation steps taken by the Government in Preventing the Escalation of Conflict in Mining, Oil and Gas
