Course Type: Webinar SeriesThe webinar discusses global social and environmental standards, and the grievance mechanisms that underlie them, as well as the role of these standards and mechanisms in preventing and addressing conflict in the mining, oil and gas sectors. A case study from a mine in Mongolia managed by the Compliance Advisor Ombudsman (CAO) – a grievance and accountability mechanism of the International Finance Corporation- is featured. The case is the basis for discussion and experience sharing.
