Connectivity conservation is a key action we can take to address the destruction and fragmentation of natural habitats by humans in terrestrial, freshwater and marine environments. During this webinar, Patty Moore, a lawyer with more than 20 years of experience in conservation law, introduces the scientific and management principles of connectivity conservation and explains its various benefits. She provides an overview of various connectivity conservation area governance models and discusses the international, regional and supra-national laws that support connectivity conservation. Ms. Moore also explores the types of coordination and cooperation that are required to operationalize transboundary conservation, and highlights the institutional mechanisms that are available to facilitate the use of this tool.
