The Online Reporting Tool is the primary submission platform for national reports, and the modality for submitting national reports on the tool was developed in response to decision 15/6 (para 29 (d)) and on the basis of annex II of the same decision. Parties are encouraged to use the Online Reporting Tool on the Convention's clearing-house mechanism to submit to the Secretariat their revised or updated National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs), including national targets. The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity led a webinar on 11 June to demonstrate the Online Reporting Tool to Parties and share with them opportunities to participate in testing.
