In 2024, countries will continue to fast track readiness to implement the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. This webinar will focus on the cohesive technical support package available through the EAS Project to help you take action towards Annex I in Decision 15/6 and other commitments you’ve made in advance of CBD COP16. Presentations will summarize the guidance, tools, and capacity development opportunities available under the four project components: alignment of national biodiversity targets, assessment of monitoring systems, policy and institutional alignment, and biodiversity finance. The webinar will also highlight opportunities to provide feedback to ensure the guidance provided meets country needs for planning and implementation. Participants will have an opportunity to interact with technical experts on each of the four project components, ask questions, and share their experiences to support progress towards national commitments to the CBD in 2024.
Webinar objectives
This webinar will focus on the cohesive technical support package available through the EAS Project to help you take action towards Annex I in Decision 15/6 and other commitments made in advance of CBD COP16.
This webinar will:
- Connect Parties with technical support materials related to national biodiversity targets, monitoring systems, policy and institutional alignment, and biodiversity finance;
- Help Parties build a customized pathway towards r early action on the Kunging-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework in advance of CBD COP 16; and
- Provide feedback on available resources, and develop relationships with other Parties and technical experts.
